Can i play crysis 2 with my nvidia geforce GT520?

Yes you can.

Checkout the review with system requirements here

http://www.tekdig.net/2011/10/crysis-2.h…|||Yes you will. I dont know if you can play it on medium but I know that you can play Crysis 2 with it. Crysis 2 needs 8800GT and a 210 is better than a 8800gt so yes you can play it :)|||yes you can i play crysis 2 on my PC with the nvidia geforce gt520 and its perfect|||You'd struggle on even lowest settings. Consider the GTX 560, or HD 6870.

Is an Nvidia Geforce gt520 video card any good?

Yeah, its is a good card,

Nvidia GT520 is even better than Nvidia 9500 GT.|||all i know is that nvidia is really good. if you need what that card offers, then yes its really good.|||no, thats the low end, good for playing youtube videos though XD

Which Graphics card is best? Nvidia GT520 or ATI Radeon HD 6450or ATI radon HD 5450? All are 1 GB.?

Please tell me the best graphics card among these which can play modern games(modern warfare 3,Withcher 2,Nfs run ,Battle field 3) in high settings.|||None of those video cards will run any of the games you listed at high detail. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply uniformed and/or is playing games at welfare resolutions like 1024x768 like it's 1995 or something. The GT 520, Radeon 5450, and 6450 are all low end crap. They are not suited for gaming. Of the three cards the 6450 is the fastest.

Here's a chart that shows how various videocards compare to each other.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gami…

Just so you know. The minimum spec card for BF3 is the GeForce 8800 GT. The GT 520 is roughly 40% as fast as the 8800GT, You aren't going to play BF3 even on low settings with any of the cards you listed.

If you want to play modern games at high detail levels you'll have to step up to something like a Radeon 6850 or GeForce GTX 460 or GTX 560 (non Ti). With the Radeon 5770/6770 and Geforce GTX 550 Ti being about as low as you can reasonably go run newer games well.|||Nvidia GT520 2 gb diffrence is only 400rs. buy it here

http://www.flipkart.com/computers/compon…

what configuration are you using please tell me i am also assembling a gaming pc it will help me thanks very much|||Nvidia GT520 is the best because i m using it and already playing warfare3, Ntfs run, games are runing so smoot. Now i will play withcher 2 and battle field 3 also thanks...

9800GT or GT520 Which Preforms Better?

Now This Isn't for me but for my friend I'm getting GTX550Ti Superclocked so I dont want suggestions of different cards cause I only wanna know which is better out of these 2.|||Those aren't even close... the 9800GT is much faster (although an older design that doesn't support DX11).

The GT520 is just an updated GT220, it's slower than than the GT430, which is slower than the GT240 and 9600GT. To beat a 9800GT, you need a GTS 250 or GTS 450.

http://www.techspot.com/review/240-ati-r…

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac…|||Seeing as the performance in games is higher for the 9800GT and that it has more CUDA cores it seems to outrun the GT520. However, the 9800GT is a DirectX 10 card and the GT520 is a directx 11 card. (Unless DX means a lot to you, I would go for the DX10 card because of the performance difference here.)

Please view the my information source for a performance chart.|||Looks good so far

Good Builds ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTLYTjnpX…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN0_-trt_…|||According to benchmarks, 9800GT is much better, but idk if I trust the site I was using|||9800gt will perform much better. DX10 and DX 11 Meh.. the 520 is card for high def video.. not gaming.

Gigabyte nVIDIA GT520 1GB PCI-E Graphics Card OC Edition?

Could someone please review this card and tell me what i can use it for|||It's a very low end card, it won't handle newer games (BF3/MW3 etc). It's just step up from intergrated.|||i had this card now i can play crysis 2 at extreme and lotr war in the north at high and i didn't use it's oc performance yet. it's awesome card|||As a gaming card it is sh1t. As something better than integrated graphics it's ok.

I7 2670 qm with nvdia gt520 vs i5 2430m with nvdia gt540m?

Hi,

I have two laptops to choose from

1. flipkart.com/computers/laptops/asus/itmd…

2. flipkart.com/computers/laptops/asus/itmd…

One comes with i7+gt520m. the other comes with i5+gt540m.

I will use the laptop for gaming and as i am doing electrical engineering, i will use it for apps related to EEE..

Which of the two would you suggest..?

I have learnt from sources that gt520 is a much weaker graphic card compared to the 540|||If you don't game, go with i7 2670, if you do, go for i5 2430.

How much would an unused amd phenom II X2 black edition 2.8ghz and nvidia gt520 1gb sell for?

I was gonna buy this gaming desktop but the graphics and cpu sucked balls, so i figured id sell em' and buy better ones!|||Look it up on Newegg.com

AMD HD6450 or NVIDIA GT520?

HD one is slightly more expensive but i can just about afford it if its worth making the jump

both 1GB graphics card|||GT520 is probably a better choice. nVidia cards are more reliable for gaming and by looking at the link below, it probably is the better choice.

Check here, though, if you want to see for yourself: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html

Good luck.|||The Radeon 6450 is just a tad faster. It's definitely the better buy.

However, if you can squeeze out just a few more bucks, you can get a Radeon 5570 that will spank them both.|||name your budget, both cards suck for gaming. 5670 / GT 240.

Which graphics card is gud for gaming...nvidia geforce 8800gt OR nvidia gforce gt520?

The 8800gt is better, but it's really oudated and not suitable for todays gaming. Go for a gts 450 at the minimum.|||the 8800 gt

Which graphics card is better for gaming...nvidia geforce 9400gt OR nvidia gforce gt520?

I'd go with the GT520|||According to benchmark sites both of the 2 GT 520s are better than either of the 2 9400s GPUs.

I would go with the GT 520.

Here are where they are on the benchmark list.

148* NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX

172 NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M

253 NVIDIA GeForce 9400M (G) / ION (LE)

259 NVIDIA GeForce 9400M GeForceBoost

They are all considered Low-Midrange Graphics Cards

"Low-end graphics cards for users who want to play games. New games should run on these cards, but only with low details and mediocre resolution. The power consumption (of modern cards in this class) should lead to a good battery life."

Does a 1gb video card use 1gb of ram on your motherboard?

Im getting the xfx nvidia gt520 1gb really soon and i wanted to know if the card uses ram that is on the mobo. I have 2gb of ram and if i install this card will that mean i only have 1gb of ram to use?|||If the video card is dedicated, then it uses it's own RAM.

If it says "1 GB of RAM shared, etc" then it uses your RAM.|||1 gig of video ram is specific to the video card and not inclusive of the ram you install on the motherboard if you have a 8 gb ram system and 1 gig video card you will still have 8 gb ram for functionality and 1gb dedicated to video functionality and graphics processing hope this helps|||No. VRAM is dedicated for use only by the GPU

What is an outstanding brand for PC graphics cards?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC next month to maximize resolution and performance for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. I don't really know much about hardware, right now I'm using a NVIDIA GeForce GT520, but I'm assuming that won't even allow me to play the game on minimum settings.

I would be very grateful for your help.|||Nvidia Or ATI|||there are only 2 main competitors in the graphics card industry

Nvidia and ATi (AMD)

all other graphics cards manufacturers use the base chipset of the cards these company's produce and tweak voltage and clockcycle settings, also they may have their own version of heatsinks or ram they may swap out but essentially it is still the same card.

You should work out your budget first before you decide on brand, then choose a range that suits what you can afford. Also if your CPU and RAM are crappy dont expect an upgrade to the GPU to work a miracle and magically make your games work better (a crappy CPU is still crappy after upgrading the GPU).

mid range of the market right now would be:

Nvidia GTX560

Radeon 6850

From nvidia geforce GT520 and nvidia geforce 9800gt,which is good for gaming?

Though the 500 series GPUs that is the GT 520 is based on new fermi-architechture will perform better.Still for gaming the 9800 GT is still good.|||9800 GT

9800 GT is much much better|||From these two 9800GT is better .see thefollowing links for specs of the GPUs:

http://www.gpureview.com/GeForce-GT-520-…

http://www.gpureview.com/GeForce-9800-GT…

Also GT 520 is newer as it is relesed on 2011-04-12where as 9800GT is released on 2008-07-29.But see the review and you will notice the different.

Why 9800GT is better:

1.Memory Bandwidth: 14.4 GB/sec in gt520 where as 57.6 GB/sec in 9800GT.

2.FLOPS: 77.76 GFLOPS in gt520 where as 336 GFLOPS in 9800 GT.

3.Pixel Fill Rate: 3240 MPixels/sec ingt520 but 9600 MPixels/sec in gt9800.

7.Texture Units: 8 in gt520 but 56 in 9800gt

8.Raster Operators 4 in gt520gt but 16 in9800gt

so choose gt9800 if you want to run more games comfortably but insteed of choosing these gpu's go for gtx580 or gtx590 or gtx 560 more better gaming expiriense.

Hope i helped !|||You can google for Graphics card bench mark results. You'll get lot of good and practical tested results, by which you can understand which is better. then you only left with budget, to decide which one to buy. That is lot easier i think.|||the 500 series is 5 generations after the 9000 series.|||Instead of these two, get a HD 6670 1GB DDR5 version for the same price. It has better performance than thse two with lower power consumption.

Get the card from good brands like MSi/Asus/Sapphire.|||GT 520 is better, but neither are very good for gaming.|||Just do a search for GT250 vs 9800GT. There's a boatload of educated info and test results.|||get a radeon 6670

can i use

GALAXY nVIDIA GT520 1GB DDR3 on this system, please help me ,thanks in Advance :)|||You can, but the GT 520 is a very weak card. In terms of performance it's on par with the 9500 GT or 8600 GTS. It's pretty much useless for modern games. But if you need just a very basic discrete card it will work.|||That card SUX. Get a GT 220 over that thing!

Is the NVIDIA GT520 1GB Video graphics card able to run battlefield 3 smoothely?

i want to know if this graphics card can handle battlefield 3, if not what is a good, affordable graphics card that is able to run battlefield 3 nicely?|||Nvidia GT520 should be able to handle Battlefield 3 if you're willing to set your graphics at low settings. It shouldn't be a problem at all in my opinion. Never tried it since I'm not using GT520. Here are the recommended system requirements for BF3 which I found at http://www.battlefield3forum.com/threads/battlefield-3-system-requirements.440/

Recommended system requirements for Battlefield 3

- OS: Windows 7 64-bit

- Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU

- RAM: 4GB

- Graphics card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, "Nvidia GeForce GTX 560" or ATI Radeon 6950.

- Graphics card memory: 1 GB

- Sound card: DirectX compatibl sound card

- Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version|||absolutely not.

A GTS 450 should handle Battlefield 3 decently at medium-low settings.

or perhaps, if you can spare, a GTX 550 Ti or even better, a GTX 460 Ti.

Also make sure you have a good enough Power Supply, and a motherboard that has a PCIe x16 express slot for the card.

It cant handle BF3 because its very old. The advertisements portray it as all fancy but in all reality its not. Generally, the pricier they are the more advanced they are. Sorry, GT250's, even though only 50 bucks, cannot cope with BF3.|||no, 540 or 550 is the minimum you will, to be able to make it look it good 560 is min|||yup! Max but little bit low performance only little bit

Will the XFX GeForce GT520 2 GB Video Card make Flight simulator Run smoother?

I'm thinking about buying the XFX GeForce GT520 2 GB Video Card so when I play it'll run smoother. When I play (with no video card) it lags a lot and it's not even set to full and good graphics. So if I buy it will it make Flight Simulator Smoother even when it's in full graphics?|||It'll run a lot better, but don't get the 2GB model, that's unnecessary for that kind of card which won't exactly be running games at full settings anyway.

My dad uses a 1GB GT 520 and it handles a lot of games pretty well, often at medium and high settings. A game like Flight Simulator shouldn't lag much if at all on medium settings with a 520.|||It will probably run better. However, depending on which flight simulator you're using there is a chance the 520 won't run on full settings.

Also, you don't need the 2GB of memory on the card. You should get a better card with 1GB of memory for the same amount of money

Is the Nvidia Geforce GT520 the same as a 8600GT?

I want to pre-order MW3 and it says you need a 8600GT or better but ive got a GT520 is it worse or better or the same?|||The GT520 is better. This is because it has more cores than the 8600. It is also a more advanced, modern card which means its architecture is better. Because it is a 500 series card it also has direct X 11 whereas the 8600 only has direct X 10

In conclusion there is nothing to worry about. Call of Duty games aren't very graphic intensive anyway so a GT520 will easily manage it (maybe not on max settings with anti-aliasing but it can definitely manage high settings).|||You're gonna get shitty performance in ANY game if you're going by the minimum system requirements. The 8600 GT is low end and outdated, as is your GT 520--a low end card. Consider upgrading to the GTX 460, or HD 6850.

Does geforce gt520 support shader model 5.0?

Yes, but that doesn't really matter. The GeForce GT 520 is low-end inexpensive card. It's fine for everyday work and watching movies, but it's too weak for most games except at very low resolutions.

If you have a game that requires shader model 5.0, you'll want at LEAST a Radeon HD 5670 or GeForce GT 440.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac…|||Yes, it supports Direct X 11 which includes Shader Model 5.0|||its good but u need hd for gaming

Can i play NFS RUN with nvidia geforce gt520?

Yes without any problem.Though you might not be able to play at Maximum settings and a greater resolution still it will play most games at Medium- Low settings and at a standard resolution and at decent frame rates .As it is based on the new fermi-architechture so it will perform good.|||Sure, if you like to lag.

Which would be a better system to play civilization 5, a I3 2120 with a HD 5670 or an I5 2320 with a GT520?

I think civ 5 is more cpu demanding so go with i5|||i5 definatelty but if your gonna do some serious gaming for demanding games i would suggest upgrading the video card

NVidia GeForce GT520 DDR3 1GB good for gaiming.?

pleas tell me the truth.|||OK other Guy is dumb. Anyway that card is decent for older games, wouldn't work well on new games. I wouldn't get ddr3 for gaming. I'd say spend a little more and get something that will last longer in the future|||It's not good enough. You need at least 3gb DDR3 memory to play a game. Yours is good for playing low-end and less detailed games.|||Suhayb, if you can't tell the difference between system memory and video memory then you have no business trying to answer a question.

And no, it isn't. The amount of RAM on the card is irrelevant here. The GT 520 is a low end and slow GPU. You won't be playing a whole lot on it. If you want even a decent gaming GPU then you'll have to spend more than that.

Which is better for Gaming? Nvidia Geforce GT430 or the GT520?

Both 1GB models and i was wondering which would be better for gaming on the likes of Battlefield BC2, Fallout 3 and Crysis?|||The guy above me is right. The GT 430 is better.

If you want a decent card, then look at a GTS 450. it's a much more capable card.

If a 300w power supply is your limit, I woulkd look at a Radeon 6670 or 5670. Nvidia just doesn't have a lot of good budget cards.|||gt 430 is better. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gami…

How much would a PC with 9 gb ram; 500gb hard drive; 450w psu; nvidia geforce gt520 video card will cost me?

how much will a PC cost me with those specs? and plus it has a 3ghz dual core processor|||Okay. That explains the strange 9 GB. The Video card 1 GB don't count with the other.

Check at Office Depot, Best Buy, wal-mart and also at www.newegg.com

If money is no object you can go to Dell.com and have one built to your specifications.

I did that and started off at 842 and when I finished I ended up at 1664 LOL But I have the super

computer of my dreams.|||Never heard of a pc with 9gb ram, usually see 8gb or 12gb. Just seems like a strange way to set it up. With 9gb ram you'd probably have a hard time getting a hard drive less than a terabyte. But seeing you get something like 8gb ram 1000gb hd geforce gt530 you can probably get a deal for 700-1000.|||anything more than 4GB is still a wastage of money, better if you save your money there and invest in a better graphics card or cpu to have a noticable perfomance diffrence|||You mean 8 GB of RAM. Just get 4 GB and invest the rest in something better than the crappy 520 GT

Does nvidia gt520 is good for gaming like crysis 2 at high settings?

i am going to buy so|||Less possible, The C2 not available to change graphic seting in the first version game, unless you update your game to newest patch call HighRes AdvanceGraphic patch and DX11 patch, if you use DX9 to play Crysis 2 maybe can high setting, but if you enable DX11 after installed the DX11 patch, that should be unable run with high-res. Go for GTX 560 or better...|||If you can support it get the gtx 580 if not 460 is great. Look at the last two digits is what matters 520 isn't really great|||no the 64 bit memory interface will be the bottleneck in all b ut the most simplest games|||simply put..... No

Asus gt440 vs Asus gt520 silent?

Hello im just trying to see which of these graphics cards are better. I just bought my asus gt440 a month ago and walked into a computer store and found the Asus gt520 silent and the guy at the store said it was better. Is it? And by how much. This info would really help me and a friend. Here are both cards

asus gt440

http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGT440DI1GD5/

asus gt520 silent

http://usa.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGT520_SILENTDI1GD3LP/#specifications|||The guy who said the GT 520 had also smoked meth before he told you that. Best Buy employee?

The GT 440 isn't exactly the greatest card but it's actually twice as fast a GT 520. I'm being honest... the GT 440 really does have twice the graphics power. I'm not using a figure of speech.

The GT 520 isn't meant for gaming. It's place is a replacement for onboard graphics that don't have High-Definition playback....The GT 520 is a media card, not a gaming card. The GT 520 isn't fit to max out a game like Minecraft.

On the other hand, The GT 440 is meant to make an older system able to play PC games. You can put a GT 440 into a HP or Dell that has a 300w power supply and the card will work fine. You can play damn near every PC game on the market with the GT 440. However, you will have to turn the settings down if you're playing some of the newer games. It will work just fine with MW3.

I don't know what kind of processor you have. A good Quad-Core processor will support a faster card like a GTX 460, GTX 550ti, Radeon 6870. However these are power hungry cards that need a 450w-500w power supply. If you want to more than double your FPS, gaming power, and you do have a good processor, then a card like the Radeon 6850 or GTX 460 would be a good pick.

What do you think of the nvidea gt520?

I bought this card and would like to now if it has good game peformance on the new games. It runs in combination with a 3Ghz i5 just over 6gb of ram and 1TB of hard disk.

Thank you.|||Its a pretty good card but its quite basic, if you want a cheap OK graphics card then it'll be OK but I'd go for something a little more powerful in my opinion.|||You should've bought a GTX 550 TI or a radeon 6850 for gaming.

GTS's in general aren't great cards.

Whats better Ati 4350 or Nvidia Geforce GT520?

I will buy i new computer but i need to know witch one video card is good:

ATI 4350 512MB DVI or Nvidia Geforce GT520 ?|||The GT 520 is the faster of the two. But neither is nearly powerful enough to handle modern games or even games mad in th last two years or so. I'm surprised you're able to get a new computer with a 4350, it's an outdated card.

Friday, April 20, 2012

I did I buy a good computer for the price?

- Intel core i5 2300 (2.80 ghz)

- 8 gb ddr 3 ram

- 1.5 T hard drive

- DVD drive

- Nvidia geforce GT520 1024MB

- keyboard and mouse

- Windows 7 premium 64 bit

This all cost me around $650. It is unopened so I can return it at anytime.|||Great.............

Awesome configuration in awesome price.

I have Biostar G31D-M7 mother. Nvidia GT520/AtI Radeon HD 6450 is supported on my mother board?

I have ddr2 ram, But those graphics card are DDR3. Is those graphics cards are supported? Please help me. My motherboard have x16 PCI slot.|||well depends. the videocard has PCI socket. your motherboard has also PCI AND PCI-E (express)

technically it will work, but if it doesnt, then reinstall windows so that the driver will be installed.

if not even that works, then try to heat just a little the video card (seriousely, just a little)|||it should work, but google it

Radeon XT1950 vs NVIDIA GT520?

Simple question, my friend is offering me a free XT1950, i currently have the GT520, just wondering if i should take his XT1950.|||yes. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_e… says that yours has 342 points and the 1950 has more, theres a couple, but all of them beat it. But, it will be bigger, hotter, and less power efficient, so you might need to get a bigger case and psu, but look at the stats to see what it needs. You definately will if it is a name brand computer.
